She wanted art evoking the massacres in Eastern Europe during World War II, but with subtlety --just a nonobjective abstract art painting group unless the viewer is in the know about world history. Then, the picture takes on a whole new meaning. It is okay to show/sell/regroup most combinations of Ward panels (including singles) even with other series. She picked out one panel each from Series 200, Series 230, Series 343, and Series 453 for the private collection in Minneapolis.



A community insurance company wanted lots of real art about. They obtained Series 40 (AKA Legalism Everywhere). at the time these photos were taken, their meeting room was temporarily taken over by extra tables and chairs for a teleconference.

Famed photo-artist Sally Mann [ wiki ] owns Ward's Series 210 (The Notes), which she obtained from the estate of its past owner, the great artist Cy Twombly [ wiki ].



This small city's arthouse cinema and craft beer shop share a common hallway with a restaurant. Some of the many Ward Series D (ducks) panels hang there.





When vertical, Ward art can occupy the narrowest of walls. In this residence, a wall less than two feet wide easily holds a 1-foot-wide panel.
