STUDIO VISIT
VIRTUAL STUDIO TOUR (VIDEO) HERE
Due to fumes, mess, and economics, Ward paints outdoors in various temporary sites.
Due to landowner liability restrictions and sometimes also concern for keeping the outdoor sites covert, "studio" visitors generally not wanted. Artist's own reclusive manner is also a factor.
"Site B" near Inch's in "glorious" (awful) Red Hook: No visitors.
"Site B2" near Gowie DOT saltpiles: No visitors.
"Site B3" the "Gowie alley" road stub: No visitors after 5/1/10.
"Site C" No. Closed. Former site.
"Site R" in rural Virginia:
"Site RRX" in factory ruins: Almost never.
"Site RW" in factory ruins: Almost never.
"Site K" in Virginia: Almost never.
(B-series sites change location occasionally.)
Note: after SuperStorm Sandy, some sites off-line or just no longer available. Seeking new sites.
A temporary pavement-studio site. The "famously" paint-spattered shoes and a classic NYC Sewer manhole visible with improvised circle stencils --trash can lids.
Stacks stored indoors.
